3 cute coffee shops in Waikiki

Are you looking for cute coffee shops to check out in Waikiki that are a walking distance from your hotel or hostel or while shopping?

Here I have listed some boutique coffee shops for you to check out that are right in the heart of Waikiki. These coffee shops are an easy walking distance from all the nice hotels and hostels within the area, these coffee shops are also a decent walking distance from all the high-end shopping in the area so if you’re doing a shopping day in Waikiki or are staying in a hotel in Waikiki and are jetlagged and waking up just too early, I would definitely check out these options as they are open early and have differing options for breakfast and coffee (or matcha if you’re into that!)

  1. Honolulu Coffee

Honolulu Coffee is an artisan coffee shop located in The Moana Surfrider Hotel by Westin. They’re open as early as 5:30am and serve various drinks like lattes, smoothies, and matcha; they also serve a decent variety of acai bowls.

I personally had the Hawaiian latte, which was a coconut flavored latte with hints of macadamia nut as well as their classic matcha latte, which was also very delicious.

I really loved this coffee shop, the ambiance was great and I enjoyed the interior design of this particular location. The only problem I really had was their lack of variety of food aside from acai bowls, they serve breakfast sandwiches, breakfast burritos, and pastries, but their options were slightly more limited in comparison to the other mentions on this list.

Come to Honolulu Coffee for really great coffee and acai bowls, but not if you’re looking for a hearty egg dish along with your coffee.

But if you’re really hungry and need a meal along with your coffee or matcha.

2. Island Vintage Coffee

Island Vintage is also a really great artisan coffee shop. The only difference is that Island Vintage has an extensive breakfast menu that is served all day.

If you’re really hungry, I would come here. They serve it all to breakfast burritos, acai bowls, and hearty egg dishes, there are enough dishes if you’re looking for a variety of breakfast options. They even had eggs benedict, which is what I personally had. I also had their Island Latte which was a coconut flavored latte and both were really good.

Also, I ate here and basically felt full pretty much all day, but the only drawback is that Island Vintage is very popular so long lines are basically inevitable in the morning so try pop in early if you have somewhere to be or just pick a more chill day to go and take your time.

But if you’re really looking looking for somewhere that’s not too busy, check out:

3. Hawaiian Aroma Caffe

This place is really cool and chill, it’s decorated really cute with surfboards and plants along the walls.

Hawaiian also has a decent amount of breakfast options and serves eggs with meat dishes. It also. It also doubles as a bar so they serve mimosas in the mornings! Which is also a plus.

Their in-house specialty coffees/drinks are also really good, I personally had the Dolce & Banana latte which was basically a banana mocha latte. I also had the morning feast breakfast which was pretty good. Not as filling as the eggs benedict but decent to satisfy my hunger.

I would come here if you’re looking for somewhere to sit down and want a good specialty drink. They have lots of seating and have more options for specialty drinks. It’s also great if you want alcohol in the morning.

All three of these coffee shops are worth hitting up before or during a shopping or beach day, as they are all walking distance from Waikiki beach and from all the shopping centers in the area.
